DIGGING TO FIND MYSELF - 2025
(this series is composed of 7 artworks)
The conceptual elements of my work do not always reveal themselves explicitly.
At times, I prefer that they exist as silent seeds — provoking sensations that go beyond sight and speak directly to the soul.
I believe the true power of a piece lies not only in what can be seen, but in what can be felt without the need for understanding.
It is within this invisible space that my creations seek to live.
This new canvas was born from such an intimate and visceral gesture.
To bring it to life, I created a unique tool: a handcrafted “brush” made of real thorns as bristles.
Dragged across the paint, this instrument becomes a living file, leaving behind traces — delicate scars from each contact, each moment of persistence on the surface.
“Digging into ourselves” may sound like an act of violence.
But perhaps, above all, it is an opportunity for rebirth:
to reveal what pulses beneath the skin,
to shed the fragments of who we once were,
to open space for something new to bloom.
This series captures the vital exercise of letting go — a dance between the creative gesture and an imaginary wind brushing against our own skin, wearing it down until the new being we carry inside can finally emerge.
Each trail, each scar in the paint, is the living mark of a silent transformation.
